Bleeding internal carotid artery - secret of life is in clotting the blood

Keywords: ischemic brain rescue, IJV thrombosis recovery communication, sinus destruction, of cerebral structures.

MRI,   sagittal view, showing an area of the damaged artery (within the ICA wall) in the base of the skull, in a space called, overlaying foramen lacerum.  The devastation (tissue destruction) of internal structure of the head, by the reason of prolonged bleeding, was slowed thanks to the invention of a good treatment, outside the hospital.

Fig1.  MRI, sagittal position, shows deep disruption to brain function, caused by bleeding cavernous internal carotid artery (ICA), running through the bony canal.  The area  around the artery is incorrect (have similar densities) and is joined (accreted) with contiguous structures.  There are also visible changes in the subarachnoid and sinus space.

Fig2.   MRI, sagittal plane, done after same time, confirms the earlier diagnosed hemorrhage (from artery ICA) and shows the initiation of regeneration (tissue repair) of the disabled structures of the head.  The time of the hemorrhage and extensive cerebral infarction, led to irreversible losses.  An example is the substantial decrease in tissue.  A cross-section clearly shows a destruction of bone tissue.
